QUALIFICATIONS
In 1996 our Company, first in the power industry, successfully passed the Quality Management Audit conducted by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services Limited and was awarded the ISO 9001 System Certificate. In 1998 the Company was awarded the Quality Assurance System for Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd as being in compliance with the requirements of safety classes 2, 3 and class 4 T of ABOS. In 1999 ERBE was awarded the ISO 14001:1996 Certificate. In December 2006 the Quality Assurance System for Paks Nuclear Power Plant was extended to safety classes 1, 2, 3 and class 4 T of ABOS. The Integrated Management System was introduced in 2006 after the integration of the environment management system into the quality management system. In 2008 the quality management system of our Nuclear Power Plant Quality Inspection Department pursuant to Standard MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17020:2005 was successfully accredited by the National Accrediting Body. In 2008 our scope of activities were extended to include general design and project implementation as EPC contractor. As a result of taking up EPC activities, the scope of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System was accordingly extended in 2009 and, also, the Integrated Management System was updated in compliance with the requirements set forth in Standard ISO 9001:2008. In December 2009 a management and control system valid for the nuclear area (Nuclear Power Plant Integrated Management System) was developed by ERBE, covering the processes for design/preparation, execution, supervision and analysing, the relevant competences, resources, rules and procedures, together with the documentation order thereof. In December 2009 the ABOS qualification was renewed for a further period of 3 years.

EPC CONTRACTING
The Hungarian power industry has been significantly transformed following the privatisation process and EU accession. Therefore, based on our experience in the power sector, we have developed and adapted our skills in project development and project management to other fields of the industry, in particular to environmental protection related projects.
Engineering activities in the framework of EPC contracting and turn-key implementation of projects have been set as our target.
Accordingly we undertake the following activities:
- Design of facilities
- Construction (landscaping, water intake works, technological main and auxiliary buildings, roads, fencing)
- Installation of main equipment (gas turbine, HRSG, steam turbine and machine hall)
- Implementation of auxiliary systems (water supply system, water treatment system, auxiliary boiler system, switchyard systems)
- Implementation of standby power supply
- Implementation of power transmission systems and other electric systems
- Implementation of C&I systems
- Implementation of other, auxiliary systems
- Commissioning
- Training
DESIGN
As a result of a continuous development and training of our technical staff we have reached a level whereby we can offer our own design services substantiated by excellent references.
Our activities are supported by the following softwares: ArchiCAD for architecture design, AutoCAD, OmegaCAD for electrical and C&I design, GATE CYCLE, for heat flow design and CADMATIC for facilities design.
In the course of technical design we perform the analyses of various alternatives for development, as well as geological, soil mechanical and geodetic surveys. We assist our partners by providing heat flow charts, short-circuit strength calculations, power distribution tests, environmental impact assessments, organisational charts, layout plans, preliminary business plans and detailed feasibility studies, and by rendering a number of other associated services.
One of our most successful achievements is the development of a program based on the principle of FLUENT finite volumes.
Our project design activities comprise the continuous maintenance and regular revision of guidelines for design and orders of procedure, operation of drawing and documentation code-systems, the organisation and conduction of consultations with the authorities required for the identification of design jobs, as well as data supply for, and maintenance of, design maps.
